Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry Resigns as A Director of Bumi Armada
Kuala Lumpur, 22 February 2017 – Malaysia-based international offshore energy facilities and services provider Bumi Armada Berhad (“Bumi Armada” or the “Group”) today announced that its Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director, Mr. Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry (“Mr. Mistry”), has resigned from the Board of Directors of the Group. Mr Mistry joined the Board of Bumi Armada on the 27 October 2014. Mr Mistry is the Chairman of the Shapoorji Pallonji group, a conglomerate involved in construction, real estate, infrastructure and renewable energy.
Commenting on the resignation, Chairman Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz said, “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Mr. Mistry for his contributions during his time on the Board. His vast business experience has ensured that his views have been both insightful and valued. Mr. Mistry has numerous businesses and other commitments to oversee, so we fully understand the reason for his resignation. The other Directors and I wish him all the best for the future.”
