Bumi Armada awarded Marine Money Asia Bank Debt Deal of the Year 2008/2009 Award
Bumi Armada was awarded the Marine Money Asia Bank Debt Deal of the Year 2008/2009 Award for our success in securing the project. The award presentation ceremony was held during the Marine Money Asia Week on 28-29 Sept at the Ritz Carlton Millennia in Singapore. The award was received by our CFO, En Rezza Hassan.
Marine Money is a provider of maritime finance transactional information and maritime company analysis through the monthly magazine, Marine Money was highly impressed by Bumi Armada's ability to close competitive, value-adding transaction despite the harsh demand of the economy.
Shell Awarded Bumi Armada for Achieving A Four-Year Goal Zero Days
Bumi Armada received a certificate from Marine Services of Sarawak Shell Bhd and Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd, for achieving a Four-Year Goal Zero Days on 19 July 2009.
Petronas Carigali HSE Awards FY 2007/08
Bumi Armada was awarded the following by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd on 1 Jan 2009:
- Merit Award in recognition of HSE Performance
- Bronze Award in Safety in recognition of the implementation of Hand and Finger Injury Program (HSE Achievement Category)
- Bronze Award in Health in recognition of the implementation of Drug and Alcohol Program (HSE Achievement Category)
EMEPMI Star Gold Medal Award 2007
Bumi Armada is one of the recipients of ExxonMobil (EMEPMI) Star Gold Medal Award, as award that recognizes Safety Excellence for 2007.
The award was presented at a ceremony on 20 August at Le Meridien Hotel, KL by CEO of ExxonMobil, Mr. Liam Mallon & NIOSH Chairman, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye to Capt Mohan Sivasundram, Senior GM, Corporate & Fleet HSE & Fleet HR.
Mr. Mallon, CEO of ExxonMobil remarked that many of the marine contractors performed poorly in safety with the exceptions of a few companies like Bumi Armada.
Capt Mohan said, ”This is yet another major achievement in our Safety Performance. I take this opportunity to thank the senior management for their utmost commitment in safety, strong leadership and execution shown by Base Managers, HSE, Operations, Technical, Crew Staffs and mostly our ship staff for their excellent effort in observing and working safely and making the company proud.”

EP Asia Pacific Shell Safety Recognition Award 2008
The EP Asia Pacific Shell Safety Recognition Award 2008 was awarded to Bumi Armada Navigation Sdn Bhd (BAN) during the last Shell HSSE & Operations meeting on the 26 June 2008 at Grand Palace Hotel in Miri.
The award was presented by Capt. Tiong Kwong Heng who represented EP-Regional Logisctics Manager, Mr. Scott Fowler from Sarawak Shell Berhad, and it was received by Capt. Gordip Singh from BAN.
This award was in recognition of BAN’s outstanding contribution to building a culture of compliance and intervention towards ‘Living Goal Zero’.
EMEPMI Grant Award for Safety Excellence 2006
Bumi Armada adds yet another feather to its cap when it was awarded the "2006 Grand
Award for Safety Excellence" on 29 August 2007 at Le Meridien Hotel KL. The award was given by Exxonmobil Explorations & Production Malaysia Inc. (EMEPMI).
Over the years, Bumi Armada has won awards in various categories but this "Grand Award" recognizes safety standards achieved for excellent performance in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) and vessels (Armada Aman, Armada Indah and Armada Tuah 20) which have maintained an accident free year of operations in 2006.
