Bumi Armada Engineering (BAE) provides a full spectrum of engineering services for all phases of oil & gas processing facilities. Our comprehensive capabilities allow us to provide these services for an entire range of offshore oil and gas processing facilities for floating solutions (FPSOs, FSOs) and fixed platforms.


1.0 Expertise in Process Facilities

BAE's multi-discipline expertise for upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities cover a range of processes including specific project delivery expertise in the following areas:
  • Oil and gas gathering, separation, stabilization and production
  • Gas compression, dehydration for gas lift, gas injection and sales gas production
  • Water injection including de-aeration, filtration and treatment
  • Produced water treatment and disposal
  • Chemical injection such as corrosion and scales inhibition, hydrate suppression, and de-emulsification
  • Vent, drain, flare systems, utility systems including air, water diesel etc
  • Enhanced oil recovery and slug management systems
  • Technology selection and project delivery for small LNG, methanol and other gas liquefaction systems
  • Safety case and environmental engineering
  • Specialist studies such as QRA, radiation, dispersion and blast studies, RAM analyses, Hazop, Hazid & SIL studies
We provide complete process and mechanical warranty for modules, floating systems and other related facilities delivered by BAE.


2.0 Expertise in Marine & Ship Systems

BAE also provides naval architecture and marine engineering services which include conversion of tankers to FPSOs or FSOs, mooring systems (spread mooring and turret) risers systems and new-built FPSO or FSOs and other floating facilities.

BAE also manages subsea infrastructure, pipeline and installation engineering using specialist contractors where appropriate.


3.0 Phased Implementation

BAE has expertise beginning with concept selection and culminating in handover to operations. The different phases in which these tasks are achieved include:
  • Field development studies and concept selection
  • Bankable feasibility studies
  • Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and cost estimates for FID
  • Detailed design including provision of fabrication drawings to yards
  • Commissioning engineering
  • Hand-over


4.0 Multi-discipline Experience

BAE has a full range of engineering experience to deliver complex projects with varying technology content. A hallmark of this expertise is our thorough knowledge of international and local standards and our acquired "know-how" which ensure that BAE comply with all requirements of statutory, class and other regulatory and authority requirements. We deliver projects that are fit for purpose and have optimum efficiency and productivity while also complying with principal project objectives as outlined in customer specifications.
